  • The Chestnut Appeal - For Prostate Cancer was founded in 1999 at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, since then it has gone on to be at the forefront of prostate cancer care right across the region.
  • Plymouth and District Leukaemia Fund - Was set up in 1983 with the aim of raising money to provide more comprehensive care locally for people with leukaemia and other blood disorders.
  • Jeremiahs Journey - Offers support to bereaved children and their families who live in Plymouth or the immediate surrounding area, our service is to run a short term therapeutic group programme.
  • The Beckly Centre - Is a project enabling children, young people and adults to participate in and enjoy positive, inclusive and fun social activities in an informal atomsphere.
  • Gables Farm Dogs and Cats Home - Gables Farm Dogs' and Cats' Home has been helping the region's dogs and cats since 1907. We look after some 1500 cats and dogs every year.
  • Help Our Wounded and Supporting Arms - To provide ongoing financial help not only for today or tomorrow, but for life, as a number of Royal Marines are double or triple amputees.

Plymouth motorcycle groups

  • Plymouth British & Classic MCC - The club commenced back in 1977. It was formed as the British Motorcycle Owners Club and held the large show on the Hoe each year.
  • MAG - Plymouth Branch - We meet at The Morley Arms, Laira Bridge, Billacombe Road, Plymstock on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Everyone welcome and it doesn't matter what you ride.
  • Plymouth Advanced Motorcyclists - PAM are affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists and exist to develop riders skills to an advanced level and at the enjoyment of riding our bikes.
  • Plymouth Bikers - Are a group of enthusiastic Plymouth bikers of all ages‚ with all types of bikes that like to get together for great ride-outs‚ great banter and a breakfast.
  • Plymouth Triumph Owners - Founded in 1949 by a group of dedicated enthusiasts around South London, this soon grew into a major National One-Make Club for all owners of Triumph Motorcycles.

  • The National Aquarium - Is a charity dedicated to conservation, research and education, we're committed to conserving the marine environment and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Mayflower Museum - Is set over three floors uses interactive graphic panels to explore tales of merchant families, the fishing industry, the military harbour and emigration to the New World.

  • Mount Edgcumbe House - Is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres Country Park on the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall.

Live bands

  • High Voltage - Was formed in January 2008 when Evo, Mark, Graham and Paul met for a beer one evening in a pub in St Agnes and as they say the rest is history.
  • Rusty Angels - A highly energetic and experienced 4 piece band, actively gigging on a regular basis around the Plymouth area. Playing everything from Elvis to Metallica, from The Doors to System of a Down.
  • Joe Santini - We are a quality four piece Blues/Rock Joe Banamassa tribute band, have a wealth of playing experience with a professional attitude and many gigs and venues performed between us.
  • Swamp Hogs - Rockin' Power Trio, playing a healthy dollop of Blues, with just the right amount of Rock & Chutzpah to leave audiences reeling in the aisles and coming back for more.
  • Red House - Ray, James & Simon have been working together in various bands for several years now. They have developed a musical chemistry and friendship which is reflected in their performances.

National charity organisations

  • British Heart Foundation - Is the UK’s number one heart charity. Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer but we are leading the fight against it.
  • Macmillan Cancer Support - One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face, we provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
  • MS Society - Is the UK’s leading MS charity. Since 1953, we’ve been providing information and support, funding research and fighting for change.
  • BLESMA - Is a national charity that directly supports all of our Service men and women who have lost limbs or the loss of eyesight in the honourable service of our country.
  • The Donkey Sanctuary - Donkey-assisted therapy for children with additional needs and therapeutic visits for elderly people in the local community.
  • Starlight - Brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by wish granting and also by providing fun for children in every children’s hospital ward and hospice throughout the UK.
  • Help For Heroes - Help for Heroes provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans, and their families.

National motorcycle organisations

  • British Motorcyclist Federation - Formed in 1960 against ' tabloid press tales' of 'leather jacketed hooligans racing around our streets', the Federation of National and One Make Clubs was established.
  • Motorcycle Action Group - MAG is a volunteer led riders' rights organisation that has been building in strength and diversity since it began in 1973 and campaigns to protect and promote motorcycling.

European motorcycle clubs

  • Hangar des Celtes - Club is based in Brittany, France and organise the annual KOSS (Kelt Old School Show) for custom bikes and cars and is supported all the Celtic nations around Europe.
  • Moto Club Faro - Run the biggest bike rally in Europe which is situated on the Algarve, Portugal, if you have not been to this bike rally you have not lived yet.

  • Plymouth Citybus - Formed in 1986 to take over the operations of Plymouth City Council Passenger Transport Department, Plymouth Citybus is the biggest public transport provider in Plymouth.
  • The Parkway Sports Club - Is situated in the beautiful over looking the river Tamar, with a friendly atmosphere sports bars and dining areas with meeting facilities which are available for private hire.
